Staggering per kWh costs in the low use case! Would not want to be driving a Taycan in remote areas of NM and expect to get a 350kW charge! Of course the low use case is only one charge per week, so perhaps a bit unrealistic.

Many of these states are starting out small with single stall 50kW stations, but it makes you wonder how Tesla can put in V3 Superchargers with relatively low usage rates in those states and not charge an arm and a leg. For sure even in remote areas they probably are in the high-usage bucket (>13 charges per day).

Either the smaller providers need to have on-site storage to mitigate demand charges (although this carries its own expense that must be recouped), they need to work with the utilities on a more flexible rate tariff, or they need to partner with a site that already has high demand charges and for which an additional blip of 150kW or so is not going to really register on their electric bill.
