Now seeing people reporting late October deliveries quoted.
At this rate, We'll be into November next week. My rate lock formally expires 11/3. Unbelievable

First, I'm with you on not hearing anything since making my order in late June. That said, looking at the sheet and basing on the fact that we are just now 2 weeks into September, and almost 50% of tracked orders have VINS meaning deliveries are scheduled. So by the end of week 2 of our 12 week window, 50% of orders have VINS and dates. I'm optimistic most of us will get delivered in Oct.

Quoting myself but one other detail - the car was on FW 2018.24 at delivery. This is one of the things to check on the delivery checklist. I knew there were newer versions out there but wasn't concerned.

The car updated itself to 2018.34 last night after being connected to my home network in the driveway.

I’m optimistic for this as well since my original window at config ended Oct. It was understandable when it shifted back to Nov because they said they prioritize P deliveries but still would have been nice to get at least an email stating that, not just rumors on forums.

AWD-nonP, MSM, 19" wheels, EAP, 5/2017 reservation, 7/31/2018 configuration, Mt. Kisco, NY delivery location - no changes to config.
Haven't really heard anything from anyone, stuck at "prepare for delivery" stage. Original estimate = Oct-Dec which hasn't budged.
I'm sort of resigned/hoping for November delivery. I think in order to max out Q3 deliveries that high margin cars in CA and other western states will be highly prioritized due to logistics. I'm actually surprised they're not having "delivery experiences" at Fremont and other CA delivery centers every day. So for us east-coasters we are prob left waiting until after that big push. Even if the first car that rolls off the assembly line post-Q3 on 10/1/2018 is meant for me, figure it'll take 3-4 weeks to get it here...

Delivery moved up to Sept 20th instead of 25th on Monday, received trade in quote on Wednesday and got a
VIN (100908) this morning. Everything coming together nicely. I'M EXCIDED! THE TIME IS ALMOST HERE!

AWD-nonP, Blue with white interior, 19" wheels, EAP, reserved 6/18/18, configured 7/23/18.

It seems my car is loaded on rail yesterday. I did a little reading, it sounds unlikely that it will make it all the way to the east coast (Atlanta) in only one week (appointment is in 6 days). Anyone here who got a CA to east coast delivery in a week?

10 days away for me (24th in Decatur)...and I still don't have a VIN nor heard from a delivery specialist.

Yeah, I am doubting it's going to happen as well.

I have new message on my Tesla page:
Please pay off your remaining balance prior to delivery

My delivery is 9/20, when do I ACH the payment, loan is through Alliant CU and will be done direct once the MVPA is completed. My IDA is directly working with my ACU agent.

Will you be able to track the VIN in one of train transport website.. I dont have the link handy..
I did see some one from CT taking delivery which is 6 days from the shipment to delivery.. so it could be true or soemthing might have changed with respect to shipping lately.

This popped up this morning. I'm not badmouthing SLC, I rather liked being there years back. Perhaps you'd prefer urging bypass of the 888 number. Anecdotally, that's where it seems most get spun up frustrated with non-answers, dubious answers, etc. My goal was to lower the temperature on here, not disparage SLC.

I was more curious if you had some inside knowledge that the 888 number always went to Utah. I’m not sure that is true based on the small office here, but maybe 20 people are handling ALL scheduling for Tesla. The office is definitely scalable to probably 500 people.

Also, I don’t want people calling the SLC SC number and clogging them up. I get the feeling they are struggling to even deliver single digit delivers per week. Which is really frustrating since probably 80% of ALL cars going east pass within 1/2 mile of that location. All they need to do is drop 1 of my config off there and I’m done. According to every spreadsheet, I’m the only one in Utah with that config. Soon I’ll be wishing I could get it with winter tires installed instead of the all-Seasons that will come off in late November anyways.

I'm not aware of any rail tracking, does that exist? I filled out my VIN at United Road Logistics and the last destination update was yesterday at Richmond, CA. I'm in Atlanta, and from what I read it's being shipped by rail from Richmond, CA to Alabama, from where it's trucked to Atlanta. With the loading, unloading it would surprise me if that can all be done in 7 days... But if it can be done to CT, maybe it can be done to GA too! :)

I'm in the same boat as you, taking delivery in Atlanta on 9/20. Difference being my VIN doesn't show up at all on United Road. Hoping my car just went a different way...

Those times I have called the 888 number, just in conversation I'd asked, 100% said yes. Is that scientifically proof? Nope. Why on Earth would someone in Chicago or ct call the service center in SLC? I called sales in my Kisco, explained situation, in 20 mins, delivery specialist in Mt Kisco had researched issue and resolved it and called me reassuring that 'they had this', 9/30 same car, Mt Kisco delivery. 888 can't do that, a delivery center can. In 20 mins my issue was successfully resolved... A happy ending for all. True customer service. Don't everybody call my Kisco, call your local sc if your car is enroute. If your car is in Fremont a SC can't help you.

If the IDA is working directly with your credit union, they should be able to handle all of that.
