SO with this 0-60 upgrade for $2,000 is there a speed difference between the AWD long-range and the M3P?

Anyone know more information on the m3P getting a ludicrous mode?

there are a zillion threads on this but the Speed Boost $2k option splits the difference exactly between a regular AWD vs. a Performance. So instead of a 1 second difference, there is a 0.5s difference.

And it’s all 0-40ish. From a low speed roll the P and AWD+ are the same.

Get the M3P if you want Track Mode and another .5 sec drop to 60mph.

Get the M3P+ if you like the bigger red brakes, 20" wheels with Michelin PS4S tires, carbon spoiler, .5" drop in ride height and aluminum pedal covers.

If you don't care about any of this stuff, save your money and buy the least expensive trim that meets your needs.

That speed difference is not gonna make a huge difference. The real difference is the track mode if they would ever add that as a feature or not since the Performance model supposedly have more cooling fans to keep the motor cooled.

It cools the battery so you don’t get performance degradation driving aggressively. You can really hear the car actively cooling the batteries when Track Mode is on. Also, it changes the profile of the traction control and it becomes much less intrusive. You can actually induce drift and hold a drift in Track mode. Also, it increases regen so if you lift off when approaching a corner, the car loses speed quickly. For track enthusiasts, it’s probably the most valuable feature of the Performance model. The braking feel on the P3D+ Is also better.
