Just bought a set 3/30/18, 5:52 pm, Arizona
Just looked. I was too late, out of stock again.
Already OOS but thanks for the heads up.
Still OOS but now price up to $50 and note to expect 8 weeks for fulfillment (although still can't order)
I’ve been checking this on the “reg” and this is the first ive seen it jump to the $50 price tag.
Although I have to admit that I focus in on the ‘add to cart’ more than the price.
Also checking for my VIN with each visit.
C’mon c’mon c’mon...take my money!!
Duuude! Play it cool, or they'll have it up to $100 for the set by the time I'm ready to buy.
They had briefly changed it to $80 a few weeks ago and it went back down to $35. $50 seems fair.
How many threads do we need about this? Model 3 Aero Wheel Cap Kit
At least three
Lug cap cover (Although, in fairness, this one hijacked a different thread)
Are the $1,450 saving (on a $55k car!!) and headaches over the 19 inch wheels really worth it?
If you don't like 19" wheels - absolutely! I have 19" on my current car with similar profile tires and cracked two rims in three years (without hitting any curbs). On L.A. streets, I'd rather have the higher profile tires. (Not insinuating the Tesla wheels will crack the same way, just my own experience and beliefs).
I think the 18s look small on the size of car that the model 3 is but I don’t want to pay the extra money for those 19s.
I plan to do a lot of road tripping and want the 5%+ efficiency boost so yeah, I'm not going to pay a premium to get less range. I may get a separate set of nicer looking rims for commuting but the 18" don't look too bad with the aeros pulled so that's how I'll roll for now.
Heads up- these are back in stock. Just bought a set.
Just ordered. Thanks!
Just ordered mine! Oh ya!
No one has considered looking at a local auto parts store to find similar or better looking lug caps for cheaper?
Nope. Just ordered a set - now will I get the Wheel Cap Kit or the car first?
I didn't need to enter a VIN to buy mine. Some have asked about that.
