Backup camera distorted

When I first purchased the model 3 the backup camera display an image to all four corners of the screen. Now there is a distorted curved reflection that stretches across the bottom of the screen. I visited Tesla Service and they said this was the way it was supposed to look. Has anybody else had this experience?

Does anyone else has backup camera look like this? When we first bottom pot or model 3 the image covered the whole screen now there's a strange curvature across the bottom of the screen. Has anyone else experienced this?

Looks normal to me. It's not quite fish-eye but also not quite rectilinear.

It looks good to me. Now, you can also see your rear bumper. Not strange at all: That's a plus!

The rear camera is a wide angle. Also all rear/backup cameras I have seen were wide angle, some not as extreme. Better to get a wider field of view that a standard angle to see more. Also the car needs to "see" a wider angle too for FSD. IMO Tesla should have installed cross traffic radar on the rear instead of depending on a wide camera only.

That's your bumper. While the field of view has changed slightly through some firmware updates, I've always been able to see my bumper to some degree ever since I've had the car (march 2018).
