Bad advice and rebooted with doors open! Now what?

so, you've tried rebooting with both cases: doors closed and doors open, and both times, the car was still acting odd?

yes. once i did ti with doors open the jig was up and it was all ****ed. doors always showed open no matter what after that. whole system was haywire. see my latest update about what part they're switching out.

So this should help you confirm/understand that the doors don't normally need to be closed for a reboot. I mean, IMO, always closing the doors before rebooting just in case the BCM fails (a pretty rare event) would be quite overly precautious.
