While there was miscommunication at the time of sale, you at least got what you paid for. Would it be nice if Tesla gave you a little something for the misunderstanding, sure, but they've chosen not to. If you want FSD, you need to pay the extra $3k just as you would've had to do when you originally purchased the car. You may find that EAP has all of the features you need anyway and can save the $3k.Update...
Perhaps the best thing to do at this point is consider it a lesson learned -- don't rely solely on what a salesperson tells you and have all important factors regarding a purchase clearly put in writing.
