Hey, I just bought my ball mount that conforms to the specs in the owners manual: Not longer than 8.5 inches and no more than a 3/4 rise. The mount I bought can be either a 2 inch drop or a 3/4 rise. I know this will depend on the trailer hook up but for the 2500ish pound trailers people are towing, what are most people needing? The rise or the drop? I’m looking to rent a small trailer soon and want to know if it should keep the drop or reverse the mount and the ball and go for a rise?
