I pulled into a parking garage in Manhattan yesterday morning and was stunned to be turned away by the attendant. He was very apologetic, but said he had been instructed by the company not to accept Model Ss. When I asked why, he said he was told they were too expensive, and the liability and repair costs were too high. I had to get to a meeting (and find another parking spot), so I wasn't in a position to stay and debate the matter. The next parking garage was very happy to take the car. Indeed the attendant made a point of putting it in a prime spot and engaging me in conversation about it. That is more my usual experience. Has anyone else been turned away from a parking garage before?
