    Links to that paper have been posted many times in the past.

    It was one of the first technical documents that was made public, and people studied it carefully when it came out.

    Here were a couple of old threads mentioning it:

    The whitepaper was marked copyright, so I think we had just been posting links to the original documents on Teslamotors web site, rather than making copies.
