Batteries are not well understood. There are no theories to predict battery performance.
Therefore:
All improvements happen thru trial and error experimentation.
This means Li -Ion battery improvements are historically limited 5 % to 20% /year.
Or 7%/year => 100%/decade .

Royal Institute argues 1/2 size of GigaFactory and 10-12 factories in UK - I suspect a big error.
I think the GigaFactory sets the bar and is needed for competitive economies of scale. IMHO.
