My 2016 model X has 70,000 miles. 90D. When new charged to 260 miles. Now 240. I rarely do full charges, but this seems excessive?!?

I assume u tried balancing battery ..but there is also a long thread on here about 90 battery degradation .not sure if you read that thread but a lot of good info

Run it down low than charge high ..ie~95%

Maybe you need to do some full charges, to allow the batteries to balance. I don't really recommend running it down low though, especially really low.

This does not seem excessive to me. Maybe slightly but not much. This is ~7.7% degradation at 70k miles.

I have the same year model x but 75D. Ours has suffered about 6.3% degradation at 38k miles. So not too much more for double the miles as mine. Seems about right I am thinking.

Thank you so much. I will try this. I have run the battery down to ~20-30 miles several times but not paired that with a full charge.

y'all need to stop complaining, lol. my 2016 p90dl (50k miles) hits 222 miles @ 100% and 203 @ 90%. Did the 5% to 95% 3x in a row when testing range differences between L+, L, and sport modes.

We did math in a bit different way:
MX 2016 90d, 6 seater, 36k miles on the clock. We had a trip over weekend with 3 persons, fully loaded front trunk and Thule bike trailer with 3 bikes. 80% of the trip speed was around 60mph. The results: 122 miles = 38 kWh. Considering the fact that usable capacity of the battery is 81.8 kWh, we arrive at 262 miles it can be covered under these conditions.
