Anyone have any info or contacts about battery swapping?
I know Musk said they pretty much put it on the far back burner now since the trial in California proved everyone preferred the free Superchargers compared to fast but paid battery swap.
However as we have seen how things are going in HK where space is a premium there will be a point when they sold more cars than possible to build superchargers for.
I think Tesla should restart the battery swap program with a pilot in HK. When we see 6 cars lined up in front of us for the SC, I think some of us are willing to pay say under 200HKD (considering a full tank of premium gas costed me 900 HKD for my hybrid before) for a quick swap. Not only that but as I said it will become a NECESSITY when they have sold say 30,000 cars in HK there is no way to install 3000 SCs in HK.
