Logged into my account and saw this. My impression was that X gets 8 year/unlimited mile warranty.

What does your account say?

Interesting. Just looked at the new order page and saw the 8 year for battery and drive unit warranty with no mention of miles.

Could easily just be a mistake on the website code. What you are posting is valid for the long range model 3. Send Tesla a 'contact us' email to verify.

Given my previous experience with "contacting" Tesla for anything, I'll pass. Lets see what happens.

For the average person, 120,000 miles would be the equivalent of 8 years. Same with vehicle warranty. I have to say that this may or may not be an error. Per Tesla's support page for the model S & X have 8 years. They put in parenthesis mention of the 60 kWh battery. which if i read correctly is 8 yrs or 125K miles. We'll have to wait and see.

Model S and Model X – 8 years (with the exception of the original 60 kWh battery manufactured before 2015, which is covered for a period of 8 years or 125,000 miles, whichever comes first).

It’s definitely a mistake, the warranty as mentioned is a binding contract. It would be equivalent to tesla cutting their post sale bumper to bumper warranty to 2 years instead of 4, not legal.

I think that is an error; somehow the Model 3 battery and drive unit warranty is being displayed instead of the X warranty. On the Tesla website in the specs for the Model X it shows under Warranty “Battery & Drive Unit 8 years”. No mileage limit. Check with Tesla.

Our warranty agreement states 8 years, except for 60's which have 125K mile limit.

It wouldn't be unreasonable for Tesla to place some limits on the battery pack/drive warranty to exclude commercial usage that far exceeds typical consumer driving.

But Tesla hasn't done that, at least so far...

Oddly enough if you look at the Used inventory on Teslas website (u can access thru ev cpo if u like). they have 'unlimited miles

The new inventory has 150,000 mile limit...

If you bought it with 'unlimited miles' it can't be retroactively changed

thats probably why the used ones on Teslas site still say that, b/c they must keep the original warranty attached.
