Bay Area Fastrak 2022 Model S

I just put my Bay Area CAV Fastrak transponder in the left corner of the front windshield (see photos) but in reality would much rather have it behind the rear view mirror or just below whatever the black item is in the center of the windshield near the top behind the mirror. Has anyone had any great success with their transponder and if so where did you put it? Thanks.

I've only used mine a few times on my 2022 and just set it on the dashboard and it has worked well.
My old Model S did not work anywhere on the front windshield but they've changed the glass now.
It should work anywhere on the windshield.

I have my EZPass on the back of console lid. I have for 3 Teslas. Never failed in MA or NH. Friend tried it on his Y. Worked fine in MA/NH but not some bridge in NY.

I’ve also put it on the panorama ceiling before. Guaranteed it will work their and totally out of view. But I now have the sunshade so that excludes that for me.

If I am reading things right, I could put the transponder on the glass ceiling of the vehicle or the rear window? Is that correct? How about just under the "black" center piece just behind the rear view mirror?
