Holy crap! 25KW? That is so... low. I knew it was low power, but I was thinking more like 50 or 60... missed that one... Also, as someone else asked, what is the deal with the initial 5 minute delay. That seems very intentional... and annoying.
 
A Mk2 Leaf has heat pump rather than resistive heating, and the power electronics have been tweaked to be more efficient. The range is a few miles more in summer and much more in winter - very predictable and the heating is excellent.


Now, we appear to have rattled someone's cage.

I did an analysis of what is/will be possible if one were to really go for it and not faff about at the charge stops (2 minutes to plug in and unplug per charge). The Model S is an 85 kWh and with a hypothetical supercharger at Newton le Willows, west of Manchester.
