Exactly, this thread is about a different issue: lower control arm vs. the recall: upper control arm.
Do you have one of the 401 vehicles that the recall applies to? They just notified NHTSA of the recall yesterday, which included: "The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule." It is required that the mail the notices, and USPS is a little slow right now.
Out of curiosity, where did you find the production dates? I didn't see any listed in the NHTSA doc. I just called Tesla at the number listed in the doc and the person looked up my VIN and said there were no active recalls for my vehicle (dated as of 11/24) and mine was built on 9/8/20.
So after all the panic there are about 400 affected vehicles and no accidents. Would be nice if they would publish the VINs.
From a NHTSA document: RCLRPT-20V709-8187.PDF (nhtsa.gov) One interesting note on 11/17 Tesla thought 437 vehicles were impacted, on 11/24 they updated the count to 401.
Hmmm.... posted here but not on the S and X forums I presume? I don't see how this furthers your claims. Do you ever post anything besides potentially negative Tesla views? Seems to be an obsession....
Posted here because it is pertinent to the thread, for the purpose of enlightening those who are following it who may be interested. No other reason. My only obsession is to provide information that may be of use to interested parties, irrespective of whether is is deemed to be negative or positive (dependent upon the readers viewpoint). Potentially negative to one is potentially positive to others who may be affected by any particular issue. claims? I am merely re-reporting pertinent issues identified elsewhere in the public domain so as to inform those who may have a specific interest in the topic. Isn't that what forums are for? ... (a medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged).
The suspension issue is pertinent to Model 3 and needs to be addressed immediately. I experienced catastrophic failure with my two young grandchildren in the car. Thank God I was slowly turning as the lower arm unbolted and the car was immediately uncontrollable and not driveable. What if I had been driving at a normal freeway speed of 65 mph? What is Tesla waiting for, a deadly accident, before they order a recall?
I'm with you. But let's maybe cut them just a little slack. If you just searched google and it linked you to this thread, and you aren't very familiar with the typical structure of online forums, it's not that hard a mistake to make.
I am interested in a model Y. I thought this was a Tesla haters forum based on all the posts. Where can I find the haters actual websites before I place a order?
