Before I ask for service - question

I have checked the air intake louvers and often find the one on the drivers side closed when it does not seem like it should be. It seems logical to me that if the fans are running full blast, like during supercharging yesterday, that it should have been open. Is that correct? Is there a way to test/make them open ?

There isn't a way for us owners to test the louvers. There might be a way for the service center to test them. There could even be errors in the logs that the service center could check remotely. I'm pretty sure they should be open if the fans are trying to cool, especially during supercharging. Your supercharging rate is probably slowed somewhat by this too.
I haven't had failed louvers, but I've read here on TMC that it's not uncommon.
