When they pulled out of Albert Lea, someone in the team dumped a fat wad of glove heater packets into each person's hands. The AC fan is a range eater. The team told me they were arriving with 1% SOC or so on some occasions. I think what owners may be missing out on is that this team won the bragging rights of the world record, but they were also testing out the new trip software. Elon Musk said something about it once, but the accuracy of their travel is very, very hard to mimic.
