Being charged for "free" supercharging

I purchased my MX new in June 2017 and have free supercharging as long as I own it. I'm taking a weekend trip from Sacramento to LA (something I have done 4-5 times). When charging at the Santa Clarita station today, I was incurring a charging fee for the first time. When I noticed that, I moved to another station and that one was charging me as well.. No problem with the other 3 other supercharging locations that I use on this trip. Interesting enough, when I went to the My Tesla page, the usual statement about free supercharging was nowhere to be found. I will contact Tesla when I return home, but I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this?

Thanks. You are probably right. I was a little surprised that was fee was around $15 for 150 miles of range. Still cheaper than gas, though. I usually charge at home during the night with off hour rates.

Was it a fee for not disconnecting when Supercharging was done. Supposedly that is on now. Up to $1/min.

If it isn't the idle fee, call and complain. Tesla seems to have some dangerous data integrity errors in their database.

It wasn't an idle fee as the fee screen showed up when I first plugged (I was watching this when I moved to the 2nd charger.).

Well, turns out I also got charged the other day for supercharging (not idle fee)! I have free supercharging too since I had a referral and ordered my MX in June 2018.

Do we call customer service, OA or SC to find out what's going on?

same here. my wife noticed that I'd been charged for ~16$, but I unplugged the cord before I could take a shot... it didn't charge my credit card though.

Same here! Noticed meter running while supercharging today. WTH???? I send a mssg to my OA and to support on my Tesla account page.

Ok, an update from my OA - glitch in their system. I checked my account and I don't see a charge there, so if you have your credit card linked then check if there is a charge (shouldn't be any). If you do then call your OA/SC.

When does idle fee kick in?

You have to be there the minute it finishes charging? No grace period?
The whole point of supercharging on the road was to go relax and have a bite to eat while it charges.

Even if your phone dings and you have 5 minutes to move it would be fine. But you have to be there the moment it's done?

As per Tesla's website, you get a 5 minute grace period.

That policy seems fair.

When using a supercharger, simply set the the charge limit to 100%. The charge rate slows dramatically over 90%. You have at least 20 minutes after the 80% warning to get back to your car.

The text is back in the Tesla Account pages now to relect free supercharging. So I would think this should be resolved, can anyone confirm?
