It's just a short blurb so it's hard to infer too much, but it sounds like the European Model Y will be a fairly different car. I'm not sure it means much of anything at all for North America owners.

Title is completely misleading. They are not redesigning the car but rather the process of assembly.
That may be true because it's hard to infer too much from any particular Elon statement, but he literally said "there's going to be a transformation in the core structural design of the vehicle." It'll involve "manufacturing, engineering, and design as well."

That doesn't sound like it's limited to strictly a new assembly process.

Hate the game, not the player.

All CEOs try to influence the valuation of the company. Musk is just better at it because his track record of foretelling to actual disruption is outstanding. Few other CEOs can match
