Best Bicycle Rack for Tow Hitch?

Hi All,

I am curious if there is a suggestions as to what the best bike rake is to attach to the tow hitch? I have never owned one and it seems like there are tons of designs. Any recommendations?

Note: I tried using the search feature as I did in the past but all results give an error. Is the site search busted or just chaos on my side?

1up USA Bike Rack

I ordered a 1UP based on feedback here. I was hoping to take the bicycle to trails in PA use for the first time this weekend but weather has become a washout. 45 degrees and rain - over 2 inches since yesterday.

That entirely depends on the size of the bike

I will plug the Rocky Mounts monorail 2. It is well built and easy to use. Cheaper than 1 up and can extend to hold up to 4 bikes. Also can accommodate fatties up to 5 inch. Been very happy with this.

Thule Apex XT 4 is a solid premium hanging rack for 4 bikes. I also tried a Yakima FullSwing but found it didn’t fit the Y very well.

+1 for the Kuat Transfer v2. I have the one bike rack and plan to get the 1 bike add-on when they're back in stock.

I have the Thule 2 bike rack and it's worked well for years. I like that you can easily put it on and off and lock it to the receiver with a key.

I have the same. Very nice rack--feels bombproof and is easy to use. You will need an aftermarket pin and lock if you have the OE tow package.

Lots of good suggestions here thank you. Am I crazy but that 1up looks terrible?? That kuat looks pretty good. Educate me on the pin and lock portion?

I had exactly the same set with this for two of my electric mountain bike and it worked great. And for tow hitch, I used the aftermarket by Ecohitch.

Platform bike rack

I may have missed this somewhere....does anyone know if this is a limitation of the MY, or a limitation of the Tesla hitch....what I really want to know is if another hitch would have a different vertical load rating. Thanks!

I am able to use the stock Kuat locking pin, inserted from the left side, although it is a bit challenging to guide the pin underneath the electrical connector and into the hole.

I have the 2 bike version. Locking pin fits fine, although I am able to get mine in from the passenger's side without issue. My son has the same rack (1 bike version) and he bought an aftermarket locking pin. I didn't bother as I only use my rack locally.
