Best current finance rates? Taking delivery end of the month

Can you apply and secure financing in March even if your delivery isn't expected until April? My order has been delayed due to Tesla's own factory schedule and I'm anxious about avoiding a higher interest rate.
Rates not likely going to change until April 1, I would hold off until last week of March. Treat it like a free lock

My eMail confirmation from Tesla financing said that while the approval for the loan was good for 30-days, the APR rate was only good for deliveries through the end of March:
*Note: Loan offers are valid for 30 days and rate is valid for deliveries prior to 4/1

This matches the fine print on the configurator as well, even though it's been estimating deliveries way past that date.

My DS confirmed the rates are frozen until then, but after the 30th March you cannot carry-over the 1.49% into April - but I don't know if that means any pre-approval is nullified and they'll have to re-run my credit again (even if I only applied a few days before, much less 30 days), or if they won't allow people to fully open the finance account in March for a delivery in April. It's all very confusing and I'm frustrated by the lack of clarity from my DS.

That's what my delivery specialist told me, then I spoke with the tesla loan advisor once I got my rate locked at 1.49%. He told me that if a delay passed March 31st was due to a Tesla (ie your expected delivery is in April but they don't make it), they can hold the rate for 45 days (not the publicly stated 30), and it can cross into April if necessary.

I just got my loan approval from Tesla. It is even lower to 0.99 Rate for MX 100D. I texted my OA. She told me it is coming down.

Only 1%? I have some questions...

  • Is this for a 72-month loan?
  • When are you expecting delivery?
  • Is this new interest rate posted anywhere? 1% is crazy-low - especially as the Fed is expected to raise interest rates this year.
  • Is it based on your credit-score at all? Is your "FICO Auto" credit-score very high?

  • It is 72 months for my loan
  • I will have delivery by end of March which My OA told me so I applied the loan on Monday
  • I do not know but just found out from the loan agreement
  • I may think that way. My FICO is pretty high. (lucky me)

I applied for tesla financing (100D) yesterday night and just got approved for 1.49% (72 months) via US bank. My credit is also top tier but still 1.49% :)

Either way I'm fine since that's what it was advertised. Also, in the approval email it clearly stated that it's only valid for deliveries prior to 4/1.

I got a phone call out-of-the-blue from my SA saying she was going to call-up higher people in the org to get authorization to lock-in the 1.49% interest rate into April because my order was delayed by Tesla. She did say that it's not a certainty that she'd get it - she said she expects to be told to push me towards an Inventory model. She did say that she couldn't tell them that I'm holding out for the faster MCU though nor can she delay my custom-order either.

That's encouraging news, at least.

Did you get this rate from Tesla financing? Alliant offered me 1.49% for 72 mo on an inventory, but would love to get a 0.99%.

I was approved for 1.49% for 72 months in Texas for an inventory, which has not yet delivered via Alliant. Is there a 0.99% available. I'm getting different answers from Alliant and Tesla folks. Any advice?

Are you 75D or 100D? I know for custom orders the 75D has a more expensive rate. May be it's same for inventory? 100D is 0.99 and 75D is 1.49?
Just a guess to make sense out of this :)

I would love yto know what you got also, and your price.

I got an april 2017 (!!) 100D, 5100 miles.
obsidian black , white interior, 7 seater, premiuem package (HEPa and some lights, and auto doors), carbon fiber accent, EAP on ap2.5 for 102750.

they claim it is a 18k discount, but not really, as most of the premiuem elements I get are now on the base model. + I need the tow package, which is included now, and that will cost me 1250.

If I build a brand new car I end up at 109800 if I add the HEPA filter.
so it is like 6k rebate. I am not sure ity is great, but at the same time I can't find anything better.

What did you get?
