Best locations in South America for a Gigafactory

I want to know where would be the best place for Tesla to build a gigafactory to potentially supply cars to all of Latin America.

Would be interested if anyone has information whether the meeting happened and how it went. In this pandemic time I don't think you'll see any developments in the near term.

Mexico would be a good location. Easy for Tesla to manage from Austin, TX. A couple of other car companies have plants in Mexico that then export to other countries in Central & South America.

Please make a factory in Mexico soon so we can get cheaper Cybertrucks here in Mexico!!!!

Because of some of the trade agreements Mexico has, it might be cheaper to export from Mexico than export from U.S.


Also Mexico already has the lithium needed for the batteries

Most of the top 35 cities in North & Central America with worst air pollution are in Mexico, Guatemala, Panama.
In northern part of South America (excluding Brazil) some of the worst air pollution is in the cities of Colombia, Chile, Peru, Venezuela. Costa Rica & Ecuador want to protect their environments and wants more BEVs.
Because of better trade agreements Mexico has with the countries in Central America, northern part of South America, Gulf of Mexico/Caribbean, a Tesla Tera factory in Mexico could better service this area.

Access to Atlantic Ocean and other countries through Rivers(has world’s third-biggest fleet of tug-propelled barges, behind the United States and China.) Railroad, and Ruta Bioceanica being built.
Cheaper labor than neighboring countries.
