Sooner or later it happens ... when I arrived to the local ski resort I forgot to check the charging pistol and connected it with ice and snow in the connextions. It didnt connect so I unplugged and I tried to clean it but it wasnt perfect , my charging rate was only 16A instead of 32A :( I only noticed it when I came back :(

What is the best methode to clean an ice clugged charging pistol ?

WD40 ? silicon spray ? or just a keyboard cleaning air spray ?

How the charging port is heated exactly ?

I would resist putting any type of liquid in the "pistol". You might be able to find some type of heated device that will plug into the 12V socket ("cigarette lighter socket" under the armrest. Or maybe a hot towel wrapped around it for a few minutes.

Here’s something I just came up with. HVAC in Manual Camp mode. Max fan, max temp. Everything into the rear seat vents only. Open the driver’s side rear window enough to bring the charging cord into the back seat and use the car as a heat gun to thaw and dry the connector. If you have a towel or rag to help with the melt water, even better.

Just get a hairdrier on an extension cord

Once the snow is heated it becomes water. Now you have only a water problem, solved by evaporation.

Water is not that much of a problem, so I suppose just heating it would be enough.
