Best Michelin Tires

As usual, there is no one "best"; it depends on your priorities (up-front cost, tread life, energy efficiency, noise, grip, etc.), as well as what type of tire you want (all-season, summer, winter, etc.). Your wheel size is also important, since some tire models are not available in all the wheel sizes that Tesla uses on the Model 3. All that said, a while ago somebody put together a spreadsheet listing a bunch of options, with ratings on many common factors:

I don't know when that document was last updated; some models might no longer be available, and other worthy products may have been introduced since the spreadsheet was made.

Is there any particular reason you're restricting your search to Michelin tires? Although Michelin models did well in many tire categories in the above spreadsheet, other brands did, too, and some might suit your needs better.

What are the best Michelin Tires to have installed on 2021 Model 3 LR ?

If you specifically only want Michelins then it depends on if you ever drive in freezing weather.

If not- the PS4s, end of story.

If you do, and only want to run a single set of tires, but do NOT drive in anything worse than light/occasional snow, then the Pilot Sport All Season 4.

If you do, and only want to run a single set of tires and DO drive in something worse than light/occasional snow, then the Cross Climate 2.

(that said- depending how bad the winter weather you're gonna drive in it might be worth considering having 2 sets of tires).

If you're not LOCKED into Michelin... well, for summer use the answer probably doesn't change. For that middle case though the Conti DSW 06 Plus is probably worth a look and they're arguably slightly better than the PS-AS4 overall and I think slightly cheaper too.

  • Pilot Sport PS4S - A beloved high performance summer tire. Great grip! Rolling resistance may not be great and range may suffer
  • Pilot Sport PS4 (without the S) - grip is a little less than the S version, but rolling resistance is a lot better according to european testing
  • Primacy MXM4 - Grip is terrible! But rolling resistance is great, this will be among the tires that gives the best range/efficiency
If snow or super cold weather is a concern, I have no advice.
