Best place for tesla collaboration

As a new Tesla owner i would love to have owner meet ups in the Houston area (and beyond) to meet other owners, what is the best way to get in contact with other owners? Facebook, forums, etc. I just read a post and he left a business card in the other owners windshield, is this an appropriate thing to do, I am trying to find the balance between enthusiastic and bothersome. Thanks in advance.
