Best Practices During Power Outages

It sure would be nice if you could set up Storm Watch to only be triggerable during TOU off-peak hours. I wonder if the power companies would have a problem with that.

I generally leave mine off until I hear of others in my area having it turned on. Then I wait for off peak to turn it on.

I would only turn on if I did not have solar to charge

Half of fremont was without power for the last 2 hours. Thanks to 2 PWs we watched TV and enjoyed a cold beer. Awesome.

For me, if it's a rolling blackout that I know of, I'll just leave everything on as is including ACs. If I don't know the cause of the power outage, I kill the AC if it's running and then try and find out the cause. If I can't find out the cause or I can and there's no ETA and could be out for a long time, I then turn off all non essentials.
