Best solution for moving trash barrels

My town doesn't do trash pick-up. I need to regularly bring trash and recycling to our recycling complex.

Planning on getting a MY with factory tow hitch. Wondering if someone could share what's the best attachment to use so that I can keep the stinky trash out of the MY

It is 63 lbs itself, and depending on the wheel/tires you have, the max tongue weight is either 230 or 350 lbs, so deduct 63 lbs from that to get how much you can carry. There are other options, just the first one I saw when looking for somebody else.

You are only slightly off. The max weight for that sort of load is only 160 lb.

mounts that are compatible with the square receiver

You might be surprised at a lot of county folks who have to haul their own trash and recyclables to the dump by themselves each week or two. Or pay a private trash collector to come to your house to do it for you.

The max tongue weight listed only applies when the tow hitch is attached, towing a trailer. The unsupported tongue weight of the Model Y tow hitch is ~150lbs, enough for a bicycle rack and a couple of bikes. What you would need is a small garden trailer.

I take my own trash/debris to the landfill. They add in the cost of the landfill into your taxes so why pay twice the have someone pick it up for you
