With the help of a couple of UK Roadster owners I wrote an idiot's guide to inhibiting APS and sent it to Japan with instructions to fully charge the car first. They sent me pictures of them doing that latter but no idea yet whether they shut down APS properly. Shipping was delayed but the car is now on the Hoegh St Petersburgh and has just sailed past Sri Lanka. Arrives in UK 7th June. Fingers crossed.
Of course. To be clear, removing service disconnect plug and disconnecting the 12V battery would be more reliable but I needed a compromise that anybody could do. The attached guide was supposed to be idiot proof, time will tell.
Nothing much to report. The process was painless, and waking it up at the other end easy. Almost no change in SOC% over the couple of weeks it spent in shipment.
I am re-importing a Roadster Sport 2.5 from Japan to UK, shipping time eight weeks. Could someone give me an idiots guide to inhibiting APS an re-enabling as I am going to have to rely on the shipping company to do it for me?
I'm about to ship a Roadster as well. Have you ever been able to make or get this monkey proof manual to inhibit APS/Re-enable? If you have a PDF or someting, you can mail me as well on [email protected]. Hope to hear from you. Many thanks in advance.
This month we will dive into the unknown, the diagnostics menu reserved for the Service Center technicians. You may remember a previous newsletter were we gave the code to get into the hidden menu.
