Looking to do a custom set of 20" forged wheels on a Performance Y

thinking about a 20x9.5 and 20x10.5 Not sure what offsets would get the wheels close to flush (i don't have the Y yet to measure). Will be running 255/40 and 285/295 /35 tires

not looking to be aggrsive with the offset but would like to be pretty flush with the fenders

Thank you

I didn’t want staggered fitment on my performance Y so my forged wheels are 20x9 ET 25. I think this pushed them out 3mm more than factory for a flush look. Might be 5mm, I can’t remember.

So 1 of the reasons i wanted to run staggered is i also want to tow with it, 20" tires (255/40) have a lower load rating then the OEM 19s or 21s (guessing this is the reason tesla rates towing to 2300lbs on the stock 20s) so doing a 285 rear puts me in the higher load range for 20"

I'm also searching for good fitment info on the model Y. Having a tough time since it's still so new. Not sure how much help this will be but on my model 3 I went with 20x9s with a 35 offset and they sit perfectly flush with no rubbing even after a mild drop.

I emailed Lenny to see if he's done any model Y adapters, and if so, how many millimeters to get them to sit flush. Haven't heard back. I'm looking at ordering the 20-in turbines. I went to the Tesla dealer a couple days ago and looked at the performance M3 w/ 21s and they sit pretty flush. Could maybe do another 5 mm in the front and 10-15 in the rear if I had to guess. Maybe someone can do the math based on the performance 21s? Wish I could be more help but I'll be definitely following this post to see if anyone else has played around with the spacing

I will have my Perforamnce Y with 21s this week, Once i have it i can test some different mm spacers to see what might get the stock wheels more flush and then do some math, I wanted to see if anyone had some insite already tho. I have a feeling i will end up with 20x10 and 20x10.5/11 for right now tho and then get a little different when i go custom built forged wheels

That would be awesome. On my other model 3 I have 20 mm bolt-ons from Lenny on the front and 25 mm on the rear. Slightly too much poke in the front but perfect in the back. I'm hoping I can use those on the model Y with the 20 inch turbines

On my Model 3 Performance i was running 20x9 +35 and 20x10 +40, while not super aggrisive they did fit the car good with no rubbing, I also have a set of 19x8.5 +25 i used and the front was pretty flush but i think the rear could have gone +20 to make it more flush.

These are 20x9 ET 25 on my Y PUP. I’m going to run 19x9 ET 35 wheels from my Model 3 for the winter. They will obviously be 10mm closer to the hub.

I think these ET 25s are flush

Thanks Barrygold. Any pics from the front by chance?

Your setup extends 14 mm from the stock 20-in turbines. Do you think an additional 6 mm would be too much poke? If not, I can use the 20 mm bolt ons I got from Lenny. The 25 mm would probably be too much I'm guessing.

My setup only extends 8.7mm more from the stock 21 Uberturbines. An additional 6mm would poke too much as the front of mine are flush if not poking a bit.

I was told MYP 21” could use 25mm spacers…

I was thinking of running 2x8.5 in front and 20x10 in the rear....+30 in front and +35 in rear....
they will be 3piece HRE wheels, but not sure which one...I also like the ones from ESR as well...they are so SICK!!! here is a pic.
