How do you find build date of your car?
There should be a sticker around the driver's door frame with the mfg date.
How to Find a Cars Manufacture Date and Benefit From It

How do you find build date of your car?
Do they replace the assembly including the outer lens, or just the bulbs or something inside? They replaced both at different times. Naturally as soon as I left with one dim one repaired the other one crapped out.
At this point both of them are new.

My passenger-side eyebrow is dead and being serviced next week. Wondering if I'll need to go visit my wrap guy afterward, or if the lens stays put.
I really don't like the various maintenance visits. Invariably, after a visit something else is out of whack (new rattle/etc).
Pining for reliability that rivals my LEAF, increasingly confident that isn't going to happen with my Model 3.

I still would like control over turning the auto dimming OFF. I prefer seeing things at night without any filter, just like I can during the day. I understand that some people prefer the dimming mirrors but Tesla should give us some choice in the matter.Another thing that doesn't get mentioned enough is the auto dimming side mirrors and rear mirror. My brother drove my car this past weekend and that was one of the things he noticed right away. It's great for driving at night.
It's known as a Monroney Sticker. The one I most refer to is that giant paper that was taped to the inside of the rear seat window. ( there is a name for it ) that all new cars get that has the mileage on it. That shows my build month.
I agree it should be optional. I would personally always have it on though because of how bright headlights in new vehicles are.I still would like control over turning the auto dimming OFF. The difference IIHS is talking about would be due to a change in the reflector design to gather and project the light more efficiently and wouldn't have anything to do with faulty accent lights.
Anybody with a build prior to June request the headlights be replaced?
Why would you be under the impression that they would replace them? Just because Tesla introduces an updated part doesn't mean we are all entitled to a free upgrade.
I'm curious if anyone who did have to have their headlights replaced (for a warranty issue) or own both a pre-June and post-June build even notice the difference?
It feels to me that no one even noticed the difference until the new IIHS rating was released and I believe the rating was a pass/fail issue - if all their measurements hit a certain distance, then the car gets a Good, if it misses some measurements, it gets an Acceptable. The missed measurements could be just a few feet that no one would ever notice but enough to affect Good vs Acceptable rating.
