Better Restaurant Options in SouthEast Texas

I’m not always impressed by the restaurants that are walkable, in relation to the Supercharger site. Moreover, the Tesla database tends to be out of date concerning new openings and closures of the restaurants. Below is a list (made Nov. 2017) of nearby alternative locations that are located within a dense concentration of restaurants (typically with drive-throughs). I’ve biased the list to be along interstates and within about 2 or so miles from the Supercharger. Normally, I’m using the latitude and longitudes in the URLs. I’m picking a spot, and searching a radius of about 500 yards — so many of these restaurants will be visible to casual drivers. If you really want some fast-food options, you are probably better served by diverting the couple miles to get what everybody wants, than to take the random-placement of Supercharger v. restaurants.

My favorites at the ones i've stopped at:
Columbus - Los Cabos Mexican
N. Houston - Nothing is particularly close, but Cracker Barrel is okay.
Waco - Collin Street has AWESOME cookies and pretty good chicken salad sandwiches.
Austin - Paco's Tacos is amazing - but would be quite the walk if you were planning on leaving the car.

I agree that the Collins Street Bakery that hosts the Waco supercharger station is terrific, whether for a meal or just for a cup of coffee. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else during their business hours.

This thread kind of reminds me of chargerville.com. That site never took off, as far as I can tell. I there's something off-putting about the flow and ease of use, but as a concept I loved the idea.

@kavyboy Chargerville was too much in lockstep with the Tesla sites. If we are all willing to drive 2 miles to get the best (or most) food options, at most, an extra 5 minutes will be spent to get to the food you want (or happens to be open late). If the restaurant row is between your starting location and your charging stop, you might be down to only 2.5 minutes in extra time spent exiting the highway a mile or two prior to the charger. My last excursion had me stopping at a Wendy's (attached to a gas station) that took about 15-20 minutes to prepare my food after I ordered it. Another Tesla SuperCharger stop listed two restaurants - but the good one shut down months ago, and the one that was left was cafeteria food. Within walking distance, but obscured by terrain/buildings was a strip of three perfectly good restaurants not listed at the Tesla website. So Tesla puts me on a wild goose-chase for a restaurant that doesn't exist -- and if I report it to Tesla, my experience is it takes them 6-9 months to correct their DB error. Ridiculous.

I could probably eat the Baker's Breakfast every day until I died (which probably wouldn't be terribly long if that was all I ate, but it would be worth it).

I'd like to add Chosun Galbi to the Austin location if possible. Here's the address: 713 E Huntland Dr, Austin, TX 78752.

It's a Korean BBQ spot, and you can either grill it yourself at your table or have them bring it out already cooked from teh back. Great way to kill time while waiting for a charge. Warning, you'll smell delicious and it may infect your Tesla.
