I've been searching for a fold-up bike that will fit in the Roadster trunk but haven't found anything. Does anyone know of one? I don't want to use a bike rack because the reduction in range.

I didn't see that! I just assumed a Strida, or any bike with 16" wheels would not fit, even diagonally. Those tires are more like 19" diameter and two of them side by side. Just reading their specs it wouldn't fit. I guess that's why you have to take the seat off.

So why does a Strida cost so bloody much money? And only 3 speed?

Does anyone know if the Citizen Tokyo model would fit? It has 16" tires like the Strida, with 6 speeds instead of 3, and only $169.

my buddy use to be at dahon, and then left to start tern bicycles. Tern Folding Bicycles and Folding Bike Accessories | United States. they make folding bikes of very high quality.

    their verge x20 model is 15.0" x 31.1" x 28.3" folded and weighs 20.5 lbs.

here is a review, with some pics.

while this is small, i don't think that this would fit in the roadster trunk. a little too deep, and a teeny bit too wide, at least according to this posting:

custom audio | Forums | Tesla Motors

and those are 2.5 trunk dimensions, which i undertand to be a smidge bigger than the 1.5 and 2.0.
