Big price cut on my Model X order

Just looked at my car today to see if delivery or anything had changed.

It now shows a £6900 price reduction.

A pleasant surprise.

I wonder why? Does anyone else see the same thing?

The pound has probably strengthened about 4% versus the dollar since my order. The cut is 8%.

But they have not changed the list price. It is still the same.

I have seen some speculation of other people getting cuts in Europe.

I wonder if the 75 is going to be replaced by an 85 and you will have the option of a 85 at the same price or sticking with a 75 for a discount.

Well, not in the UK, but in Germany.

Took delivery of my MX on monday. Originally (when ordering) the car was priced higher than today. Tesla charged today's list price, which was after two price reductions:

- general reduction of all prices for MX
- exchange rate adjustment

Legally probably they would not have to do it, but it was the right thing to do.

What an amazing company. I cannot envision any other car manufacturer to be so fair to their customers.

Actually it is an asymmetry in favor of the customer:

Price reductions are passed on
Price increases between ordering and delivery, not

To have some comparison, what did the overall discount amount to?

Were price reductions more than deposit?
