Birds are setting off my Sentry Mode

I went out to the car this morning, and it had a message on the screen, something to the effect of "Sentry Mode - 1 incident".

I checked over the car and didn't see anything disturbed or messed with. So I pulled the flash drive and went in and put it on my computer.

A few of the most recent front camera videos had birds swooping in low over my car, flying from the back of my house where they have a nest up under the edge of the rain gutter, to the yard next door looking for food.

Nothing else came near the car except me, and wow, my need for weight loss did not look good on camera!

That is my problem with the camera, too.

Bird crap is very bad for your paint. Wipe it off and it scratches since it contains "grit". It is also very acidic. Try and NOT park under a nest. Every time a bird takes flight they "dump' to lighten the load.

I keep hearing bird crap is bad for paint, but I’ve never seen any permanent issues from it on any of my cars.
Maybe others have had issues.

That is my problem with the camera, too.

Should be fixed in the next update, er...maybe v10.

The uric acid in bird dropings will absolutely etch your paint if you leave it there. Tesla's paint isn't known for its resiliency anyway, why risk it.

They need to fit an accelerometer so they can detect when stuff actually touches the car as opposed to when it just comes near.
