The 12v is always recharged by the main pack, so it should never droop until the main pack is dead.

The 12v is always recharged by the main pack, so it should never droop until the main pack is dead.

I believe so. It saves draining the main pack to charge the 12 volt and gives you the ability to choose how long you want park mode to be on.
