Asking for a friend..... no judgingNo, but why would you want to?
Yes... I want the mobile access to show its prior location without actually disabling mobile access. If you‘re talking about hiding the car’s location from the mobile app, I suppose you could turn off mobile access before moving the car. I don’t think you can prevent the car from knowing its location on the touchscreen. Towing the car elsewhere won’t update the GPS. Or you could take an Uber to your secret hideaway.
The only know way is to have the Tesla towed from spot A to spot B. When you do that the mobile app will still show that it is located in spot A.Yes... I want the mobile access to show its prior location without actually disabling mobile access.
Only side mirror's will do, not needed to waste the material...Wrap the entire car in aluminum foil before driving to new location
It might not.The car would still try to track its position using the inertial guidance, although accuracy would be diminished the greater distance of travel.
OK... I can try that. Whats the easiest way to disconnect the antenna from the MCU?
Not as much as he’ll pay if his old lady finds out he’s biffing his secretary. If your car is under Warranty, don’t do it! If you screw anything up you’ll pay for it.
depends on how hot the sidepiece is. Its all relative. This sounds like a whole lotta work to sneak away with a side piece.
if its his secretary, he can always just say he was getting a little behind in his work...Not as much as he’ll pay if his old lady finds out he’s biffing his secretary.
There's not really any internal component you can access without a lot of difficulty on these cars. The GPS antenna is behind the rear glass, so no getting to that without removing the window. The connector is behind the MCU which requires dismantling the entire dashboard. It's not something you can casually do really quick while you try to steal someone's car.Is there a way to access the antenna without a lot of difficulty?
Then I wonder if there is a gps signal blocking device that works?
