Sadly, school buses have just become another revenue stream to drain taxpayer dollars.
Buying a bus for two trips a day makes NO economic sense.
walking, biking, public transport obviously better

America highest costs, lowest results compared to most anywhere else in the world - #1 in education for cost, not results.

According to figures from the U.S. Census Bureau, the United States spends $11,392 per student every year. This figure, referred to as per pupil current spending (PPCS), varies dramatically by state. Some states spend over $20,000 per student while others spend less than $7,000.Apr 17, 2018

This is good news indeed. Just to be clear though, these are the first electric school buses delivered BY Blue Bird, but other companies have been delivering fully electric school buses in North America for a while, for example Lion Electric Co. Reading the title, I thought Blue Bird were claiming to have delivered THE first electric school buses in North America. It's rather ITS first buses. I suggests editing the title to make it clearer.

You must be blessed to be in a small community or perhaps rural. The buses in my school district have a lot more than two trips. Throw in field trips, sport teams going to games. Grade schools, high schools. Most drivers drive eight hours a day. Then offered the opportunity to get local teams to track, football, baseball, swim meets just name it. Thinking if you actually look at your buses they are deployed in similar fashion.

Have a nice day!

OH finances education through gambling, that tells you what a priority it is.
