#506(?) - Blue - Centerville, Utah It's listed as a 2010 but I'm not sure of the VIN. Blue with black interior and has 6800 miles. Price is listed at $99,000. 2010 Tesla Roadster | ksl.com
Something slightly fishy about that listing. The picture seems to be of #506 as taken from here: http://teslamotors.value-cnt.net/2010TeslaRoadster_ElectricBlue(used).pdf The license plate frame seems to say Phillips Newport Beach... Maybe they just used an old picture. I think we saw it sold before here: 2010 Tesla #506 for sale
I thought something seemed off because of that plate/plate frame. Googling the phone number brings up "Dave's Complete Auto Service", which is what Street View (taken August 2007) shows at the address listed in the ad. However, "Never Better Auto Sales" shows up as a licensed LLC on the Centerville website of "active commercial businesses": Commercial Businesses Updated 09-05-2012 :: The Official Centerville City Website :: Like you said, TEG, it definitely seems fishy. I've flagged it on KSL so they'll take a closer look into it.
This seems more "real" than some other blatantly bogus listings we saw before (like on cars.com and craigslist), but I still wonder, (assuming that the listing is real), how they ended up with the car, and what condition it is in. If someone is considered buying this Roadster, I would have it checked out carefully.
