Body panel alignment by hand?

So I have been reading pretty much everything I can get my hands on, pertaining to the model X. A few people have had issues with body panel alignment. Some have said that the doors are aligned by hand, which sounds a little silly. With the state of the art manufacturing that is put into this car, alignment of body panels is one thing that I would expect to be done perfectly. I currently have a Cayenne turbo that has wind noise from the driver door (they say due to alignment issue, which has not been fixed after mutiple times to the dealership under warranty) and is one of the most annoying things to me. So, basically I was curious if anyone knows if and why the million dollar machines arent aligning these panels perfectly instead of a person who will most likely be less precise. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
