Boo boo M3 first scratches - warning and request for tips

Squeezing into a parking space with a white van in front of me. I did not see (and the car sensors did not detect) it’s low sticking out grey metal step. I didn’t connect hard but enough to create 2 scratches each about an inch long and down to the black. Is there a cheap easy way to get this fixed or am I talking lots of money at SC? Don’t want to leave as is in case of deterioration but also it’s annoying me so I don’t want to live with the scratches as v noticeable to me. Would appreciate advice.

Thankfully the damage looks fairly minimal. Still gutting though.

I would guess the quickest and easiest way of getting it sorted will be one of the cosmetic damage specialists like Chipaway. Google cosmetic car repairs for your area.

I've just had a scrape on my rear bumper of my M3P repaired by a local guy who was recommended to me - did an amazing job.
Where abouts are you?

You wont fix pearl with chipex - I tried. Its 3 coats and you won't do that with the little sticks it comes with. It comes out about as good as getting TipEx and lathering that on.

Had a local guy fix my first bump for £250 - respray and feathering of rear bumper. The official quote for a "tesla recommended" body shop was £1500 when going direct.

Tesla themselves never got around to giving me a quote.

My advice would be to find a good local guy you can trust to re-spray.

Surely there must be some way to get a pearl effect to cover small marks

It’s with the repair shop now. Washing the car in advance yesterday spotted two chips from flying road debris so now whole bumper is being done. I’ll post a pic later. The plus side of getting scratches in the paint is that the wheel rash no longer bothers me!
