Boot (trunk) strut broken!

Anyone else experienced this?

I opened the boot last night and after a slight movement, bang. The boot slammed shut.

I had to manually open to find the power strut had fallen off, scraped the paint and chipped the top glass.

I’ve scheduled repair awaiting response, has anyone else has this issue?

It’s a 2021 MIC M3 LR.

Hi. This has just happened to me as well. A bang and the boot closed. How did your repair go?
