    LOL! Exactly, the difference in efficiency is fractional. A great hypermiler might be able to extend the range of a full battery by 1/4 mile or 1/2 mile, but really, this is a very minor factor on total energy use.

    You know what could really save energy ... a variable speed air conditioner. I wonder if that's in the plans for the model S, or any other upcoming EVs for that matter.

    I have this on my current car which is a 2004 so I would not see any reason for it not to be there ....
