On one hand that's kinda cool. On the other, I feel it takes away from the minimalist interior feel.

"centre console for the transmission tunnel" - seems that transmission tunnel may hang around as a phrase after it stops having anything to do with the transmission, like "taping" something or "dialing" a number or "rolling down" a window...

I like the features of the center console, but too like the minimal interior. Even if it was less expensive I don't know if I would buy it. The rest of the interior is bad IMO.

I hate seeing buttons; I think the Model S interior should be MORE minimalist. I'd love if if they could find a way of removing the AC vents from the Dash like they did on that Bosch self driving Tesla:

Electric heating and cooling of course. Probably Peltier.

If you look carefully there are vents lining the top of the dashboard fascia...it is just like those cool Dyson cooling fans...
