Brain impact from launches ?

Couldn't have said it better. Either some people should have stuck to their Prius, or their friends who conplain should just stick to their town cars. Can't believe this is a serious thread/issue.

If someone has a headache, it is very serious to them. During the acceleration, a human body gets exposed to strong g forces for the duration of the acceleration.

Pilots and astronauts that are regularly exposed to these forces must have exceptional health and must actively work on maintaining thier body in tip top shape as some health issues may rule them out of their job.

Couple of links on the subject, Nasa and Encyclopaedia Brittanica

Maybe in the future Tesla will need to put some appropriate health stickers on a dash, or pop up acknowledgement screen on the insane mode.

It's not like it's a big unknown mystery if accelerating at 1.1 G for short bursts can damage the brain or give headaches. A P85D is not the only car in history with 1.1 Gs of acceleration. Neither are cars the only situations where humans are regularly subjected to such forces. The thing is there's no reason to believe it would be dangerous/harmful.

P85D may be the only car that reaches these forces that does sell to a wide section of public. Other cars with similar performance have very narrow market segment. People in that segment self select, there are no sickly bodies among car racers.

It may not be dangerous/harmful but it might have adverse effects on some people who are not in good health. I would assume that such people would self select out of roller coaster rides and out of insane mode rides.

You have a point. Note to self: Do NOT do insane launches with grandma when XP85D arrives.
