Brake getting stiff after i enabled "Apply Brakes When Regenerative Braking is Limited"？

It's my first winter owing Tesla And i realize the physical brake some times get quite stiff. (harder than usual) But after a minute, it's getting normal. What has been changed recently is, it's getting cold, I enabled "Apply Brakes When Regenerative Braking is Limited"

Any Tesla guru can give me some advise what happening here. Should i schedule a service for trouble shooting？

This is normal behaviour as the vehicle is applying the brake already .

So Does this option wear still use your pads or just the motors? I love Regen not only b/c of charge but also saving pads. I understand that you can't charge the battery in When Regenerative Braking is Limited, but couldn't the motors just slow down instead of braking?

Uses both, First bit will use your regen motor braking per se. But if weather is quite cold and regen is limited it will start blending in more of the regular brakes, brake pads/rotors to slow you down.
