For sale is a pair of Brand New Trak Sport 214 snow chains for a Tesla Model S and Performance Model 3. These are brand new and have never been used.
My Father-In-Law bought these directly from Tesla for a Christmas gift for me, not realizing that I don't have the Performance Model 3 with the 20" wheels, but instead I have the Dual Motor AWD with the 19" Sport Wheels. In addition, I have made the decision not to use my Model 3 during the winter, to avoid the mess that a New England Winter can wreck on our cars. So I have no need for these. He asked that I sell these and then buy something I need with the proceeds.
-They are set-up for Tesla Model S 19" wheels (but comes with parts for other setups of course). From the Tesla shop, these are the official ones for the Model 3 Performance 20" wheels.
It includes:
-2 sets of chains (for rear tires)
-extra parts for other wheel sizes
-Trak Sport Manual
-Tesla Supplement Manual (Installing Trak Sport Tire Chains on 19" Model S Tires)
From Tesla:
The Maggi Trak Sport 214 Snow Chains are approved for Tesla-manufactured 20” wheels and Tesla-approved 235/35R20 tires for your Model 3 vehicle.
The Trak Sport 214 chains provide excellent traction and durability in snowy conditions. A new, upgraded design simply requires one fixing point on the outer side of the drive wheels. Chains should only be installed on the rear wheels.
Features chain construction with 3 mm diameter cross-section links in high alloy steel.
Includes:
1 x easy-carry nylon protective bag
1 x Tesla installation guide
1 x pair of chains for two wheels
The Tesla shop sell these for $290.00 + tax and require 2-3 weeks for delivery. Selling these for $230.00 + actual shipping. I live in RI, so I would prefer local pick-up (I can meet up with anyone in the SE Massachusetts area too). However, I'd be willing to ship for actual shipping cost.
