2020 Model Y Performance

Wanted to share some quick observations as I just installed my winter set. I could not justify Tesla winter packages ($3.5 and $4K each) so I went with a package from Tire Rack and Vredestein Wintrac Pro 255/45R19 performance winter tires. I had non-performance Blizzaks on my BMW before and could not stand the winter since they felt soft and non-responsive on dry so Performance winters were a must!
Quite a change in ride from 21" Uberturbines, although I haven't put too many miles yet, early observations indicate
  • way more forgiving in bumps and overall feel comfy
  • good handling compared to Blizzaks, but not as good as performance summer tires
  • quiet (surprisingly!)
  • steering feel not quite the same as with 21", but not bad at all
Looking forward to putting more miles on them and eager to test them in real snow in WI.

stactum, how did you get the TPMS sensors? Did TireRack order them for you, or did you buy them and give them to the local installer? I've heard they're $75 if you buy them from Tesla and $95 if TireRack orders them.

I'm thinking of going with an 18" wheel with Blizzak LM-32 245/55R18 for my Long Range.

I went with the T-Sportline package and the Sottozero's.

Seemed to work well but I did not get a chance to fully test them on the snow and ice because of the local security.
My prior ride is a 2008 Acura RDX with Nokian WRG4's and they seem similar but the SH-AWD seems more conservative with its limits.

I went with sottozeros too. Putting them on this weekend.

Does one have to obtain four snow tires, or can two be purchased? (And if two are kind of okay, where would they go, front or rear?) Storage of four wheels would pose a problem for me. I live in New York.
