Broken Falcon Wing Door Latch

I noticed the plastic latch on the bottom of the interior of the falcon wing door had a crack in it. Here’s some pictures. I’m going to take it into the service center tomorrow. Glad I have ESA. Has anyone encountered this issue. Is it a big deal? Or should I be concerned that the door won’t latch or close properly when I go to close it. I’m worried about driving it today. Thanks. Pictures attached.

This just happened to ours over the weekend, one side fell off the other side is cracking. It appears to me to be a weak part, this cover is metal and is made to guide the door latch into the hole on the body to grab the latch. Repeated stress on this cover everytime the door closes is going to fatigue this metal and it is bound to fail. Not to mention any stress that is on it while driving. I also believe that as the doors age, and more play begins to occur in the hinges etc, the alignment in these latches will continue to loose tolerances and cause these to fail more often. Tesla should be looking at this and make a change, does anyone know if the latest cars are the same or are they different. By looking at the parts catalog there only appears to be one part number.

That falcon door latch cover has broken multiple times on my 2016 Model X - yet again this weekend - I am the first/only/single owner, for what it's worth…

I'm very frustrated, upset, and depressed with the number of times that I've had my Model X in service in the last year for failures and recurring defects - I bought this vehicle because I was lead to believe it would be low maintenance and save me time, but it's a lemon and I've experienced greater reliability with 20+ year old used cars that I bought for 1% of what I paid for my Model X - dealing with Tesla service in Ontario, Canada has been a nightmare.

Can someone share the part number of the latch cover? Mine just broke yesterday.
When you install these you have to keep the cover slightly loose and close the FWD. Loose enough so it can center itself into the hole when the door shuts but tight enough to stay in place, when you open the door mark it's location then tighten them. If they are not centered entering the latch hole this is what breaks them. People should periodically adjust these covers as the door changes and moves position over time, this is why they break
